NanoMalutka 2025 took place on 18 October 2025, organized by the Laboratory of Experimental and Clinical NanoOncology (Katarzyna Zabielska-Koczywąs, Wiktoria Czupryna, Klaudia Kukier, and Arkadiusz Marek Michałowski), Department of Small Animal Diseases with Clinic, Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Warsaw University of Life Sciences. NanoMalutka 2025, now in its second year, is the newest Accademia di Gagliato Globale partnership to help children learn through hands-on experiments and promote science.
This year, 45 children aged 5-12 years old and 25 volunteers participated in a dynamic program of veterinary medicine, life sciences, nanotechnology, green energy, and sustainability. Children learned dog first aid, practiced bandaging and microscopy, created DNA bracelets, and learned about antibodies. Experiments in creative liposomes and spherification gave learners an introduction to nanotechnology and nanodrug design. Participants learned about sustainability through experiments with biobatteries and carbon filters—and continued the lesson through a pizza break, using eco-friendly plates to learn about basic ways to take care of the environment.
I would like to thank my great team members and all the Volunteers. This event would not have been possible to organize without the enthusiasm, energy, hard work, and commitment of all the Volunteers.
Special thanks to the Institute and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, the Warsaw Chamber of Veterinary Medicine, and the Polish Society of Veterinary Medicine—it would not have been possible to organize this event without your continued support.
I would also like to thank the Perspektywy Women in Tech and Women on Boards Poland for promoting the event.
